Creative Direction
Understanding the artist’s intention.
Posthumous projects require a different creative discipline.
The artist is no longer available to approve decisions, clarify intentions or participate in the production.
Creative decisions therefore require careful consideration of the original performances, historical context, documented artistic preferences and the contributions of those familiar with the work.
The project was developed around the principle that the original artist’s identity should remain central.
New production was intended to support the source material rather than overwhelm it.
